Going to London...

I'm going to London tomorrow. Not out so early or back so late as last week.

I had a great day off today. A good sleep in the morning and then I got all that stuff done that never seems to happen at the weekend - banks, post office, printer cartridges, holidays booked, etkt name fixed, credit card problem fixed, TV license, etc. Even managed to get the Google map links set up in BelleekPark.com.

Andrea and I couldn't go to Mayo this weekend as planned because she had an important SITA meeting this morning, but I didn't want to cancel my day off again. We will probably go down for the bank holiday weekend.

More frequent and better blogs coming soon, I've been a bit busy...

Test Again...

That didn't work!

Have a look at the post below, prior to this one. You can maybe see the image boxes just below the text and you can click on them to see the full sized images but the thumbnails didn't transfer to my site properly. This happens on either FTP or SFTP, some of the files get created but are zero length or too short to be jpg files, essentially corrupted.

So, now I'm trying w.Blogger to send my blog. So the images should appear below...

That's the canal near the office.

Here are some mobile phone pictures from Newcastle...

Test

So how many sound engineers does it take to change a light bulb?

1...   2...  1... 2...   testing 1 2 3

OK, that is a bad joke. Even worse in writing than when spoken (where there's a least a fighting chance to get the timing right). The purpose of this post? To check if switching from FTP to SFTP will fix the image posting problems Andrea has been having. The images aren't uploading to IRLBRL.com properly, getting truncated to zero length files. Anyway, here are some of the images I'm going to test with...

Winter is here and I have a cold...

I was feeling a bit rough on Wednesday morning, dry mouth, sore head, woozy. How much of that was due to having to get up at 4am, fly to Newcastle, and not get back until midnight, I don't know. But by 7am I felt a good bit worse than I usually do on one of those "silly o'clock" flights. Flying certainly doesn't help. On Thursday it was a lot worse, I had to leave the office early and I ended up staying at home on Friday.

After sleeping until 5pm on Friday I felt a lot better. The cold has moved, turning into a regular case of sniffles and cough. I even made it into town yerterday, though I wasn't feeling great after an hour or two. Today I think I'm OK, so I should be back to 100% tomorrow.

I never get anything without Andrea gettting it too, so needless to say she is a bit worse off than me at the moment. We were planning to go to Mayo this weekend, I even had Monday off, but we'll have to do that next weekend instead.
